I’m not really sure why I’ve taken these images. I think it’s partly an easy subject that I don’t have to go out to find, but it’s something that is gradually changing over time that I can get different images of, and the sky behind it also changes. I like the shape of the fennel plant. It’s also significant because it’s totally out of proportion to anything else in my garden but I’m determined to leave it where it is. I tell myself that I’m leaving it because I want it to seed, but actually it provides some privacy that I feel is missing. Some of the shots I really like, some are obviously not so great, but really they’ve been taken without any particular purpose, they were just for me. However, I used one of them as part of assignment 1, ‘Square Mile’.
